What can you do with a B.A. in Visual Journalism?

Bailey Jo is a visual journalist for the Renton Reporter and Sound Publishing where she works as a general reporting writer, photographer and special sections editor.

In the past, she’s been a freelance writer, film critic, videographer, designer, and illustrator. She currently lives near Seattle with her husband and their pets.

She grew up a cowgirl in a rodeo family where, from an early age, she had an affinity for art, music, animals and storytelling.

After graduating from Western Washington University in 2017, she packed up and moved to rural Japan to work as a writer and an assistant language teacher (ALT) for five years.

Her hobbies include religiously watching movies, collecting and reading comic books and adventuring in the great outdoors.
